Due to our rapidly growing success, we are opening an auction house in the Swindon / Reading area, and we are looking for car and motorcycles consignors to join our expanding team.
Based in the Swindon area on a full-time basis as a classic vehicle consignment specialist, the ideal candidate would already be working within an auction environment or retail motor trade, be confident and an outgoing individual with a keen attention to detail and empathetic to all situations. As a consignment specialist, you will be the first port of contact for any customers wishing to sell or buy a classic or collectors car or motorcycle at auction. The specialist will manage the whole process from initial enquiry all the way through to selling at auction and beyond. The team at our Cheshire auction rooms will always be on hand to help and advise.
SKILLS
- Keen interest and knowledge of all ages and areas of classic cars and motorcycles and all things related
- Knowledge and experience of how the collector car and motorcycle market operates or previous car sales experience and a willingness to learn on a regular basis
- Adept at negotiating terms of sale with customers
- A self-starter who has the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Impeccable communication skills with the ability to communicate, present, and influence with credibility and effectively in a polite and professional manner, and with complete honesty
- Experience of venue-led Auctions
- Be an ambassador of Manor Park Classics at all times
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with sellers and buyers throughout the life of the auction process and coordinate the end-to-end activities from pre-sale through to post-sale, ensuring excellent levels of engagement and service throughout
- Research the value of collectable cars and motorcycles adding to your knowledge in the process
- Be responsible for all activities in and around the South of England and be aware of car / motorcycle shows in the area
- Keep up to date records and report to the Sales Director on a regular basis
- Help to continue the growth and professional reputation of Manor Park Classics and be part of the future success of the business
Remuneration to be negotiated dependent on experience.
