Recently a post made by me, on one of my social media platforms generated quite a few negative responses. The post stated the fact that my daily driver is a SsangYong Musso, a great vehicle, which suits my requirements exactly. The negative responses were pure ‘brand snobbery’, I’m guessing mostly from folks who have never driven such a vehicle.
When I bought my first bus, yes bus...double decker...you get the picture, many of the other bus enthusiasts at its place of storage guffawed at my choice; an unloved type, but nonetheless very rare. I became disheartened and sold the bus, which ended up being scrapped by an onward owner. Back to recent days and a chum posted that he’d had his much loved early 90s Rover stolen. Cue the peanut gallery, behind their keyboards, sniggering again.
One thing I have learned as a vehicle enthusiast is that there isn’t a vehicle type that isn’t worth saving, whatever the reason; rarity, value, speed, prowess, or simply because it was admired by someone who saw beauty there.
Manor Park Classics is all about the love, care and enjoyment of classic vehicles, no matter what they are, or their monetary value.
We’re looking forward to seeing you and the one you love, very soon.
